Churches are comprised of many groups of people (the general
congregation, youth, adults, seniors, choir members, leaders, and staff), all
with needs for inspiration, education, social interaction, and relaxation.
Nowhere are these needs better met, than through a safe outing on the waters
surrounding Savannah, GA. Our licensed captains have over 7 years of
experience, providing educational tours throughout our local waters. By
adding the inspirational exhortation of your own spiritual leader, Christian
Marine Ministries is able to create a unique experience that your church
members will long recall and discuss. Consider these possible opportunities:
|
|
Vespers/Outreach - While our captains are very good at providing a
quality experience on the water, they are not preachers and will not promote
their religious views. But there is no better outdoor opportunity for
outreach to guests and ministry to members than while cruising through the
beauty of nature. The boat is equipped with a wireless microphone and speaker
system to allow your pastor or group leader to easily communicate an
inspirational message while underway.
Fund Raiser - A large portion of each ticket price can be
designated as a tax-exempt contribution to your church. Due to the economics
of being able to carry up to 49 passengers on each trip, Christian Marine
Ministries is often able to provide a quality cruise for a low per-person-price.
This allows your church or non-profit organization to add an additional
amount, if you so choose, as a contribution for your organization. Anyone of
our educational/sight-seeing cruises can be
used as a fund-raiser for your church or non-profit organization.
Education - Recognizing and meeting the educational needs
of our children is not the exclusive responsibility of our government schools.
Every parent and church leader should recognize that the burden of education
falls on all of us. Our captains have been educating children from K-
12th grade for many years and have a love for kids and for the
wonders of nature.
Marriage Counseling - Bring a up to 2 dozen couples for a
ride to Williamson beach. Present an hour discussion on the ride down, allow
them walk on the beach and discuss their issues, then follow-up on the ride
back.
Ash Spreading - When the time comes for
selecting a final resting place, many people choose to return to the sea.
Christian Marine Ministries can arrange an affordable, dignified cruise to
return ashes to the sea. Our vessel is ideal for transport, holding a
service, and easy access to the sea. See our Brochure.
Food and drinks are welcome on all cruises.
A table is available for food and drinks.

Team-Building - Looking for an unusual
location for a youth retreat, a team-building seminar, or a leadership
conference? Why not assemble your group in a unique, off-site location that
will make an impression they won't soon forget. Let us transport you 40 miles
up the Savannah River, through the port of Savannah and the Savannah Wildlife
Refuge to New Ebenezer
Retreat. Visit their website to see why we highly recommend this
wonderful retreat, where a special part of Georgia's history has been
preserved. Make it one day's journey or many. (You may elect to go by bus one way
and by boat the other.)
Social - There is no better way to unite
the sometimes disparate lives of congregation members than through quality
fellowship. The seating of our vessel allows passengers to walk around, visit
with one another, set up tables for food, and to eat together. Picnics on the
beach are no problem, neither is a trip by water to a dock near restaurants,
such as AJs on Tybee, Tubby's in Thunderbolt, Bona Bella on the Herb Creek,
or restaurants along River Street, downtown.
Worship on Daufuskie - Let us arrange a
dinner on Daufuskie, a tour of the island (with its new museum and two-room
school house where Pat Conroy taught) and a special performance of the
Hallelujah Singers in the Historic First Union African Baptist
Church.
Outreach - Reach out to visitors in this
neutral setting, by discounting or paying for their way to ride on one of our
cruises. They get to meet you and feel comfortable about joining you later for
worship at your church building.
The boat is equipped with a restroom.
